OUR MISSION: To improve the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities through equine-assisted therapy

I encourage anyone who wishes to witness and feel pure joy, power, freedom, and love to not only visit, but also participate in Reins of Life.” – Mark Wilson, Volunteer

Volunteers are the hands of Reins of Life. They provide many necessary services:

Horse leaders and side walkers in classes

Tack and equipment cleaning

Exercising horses

Feeding horses (as part of a weekly team)

Pasture and stall cleaning

Building and grounds maintenance

Newsletter preparation

Special events

No horse experience is necessary.  Training is provided. Class volunteers attend a three-hour training session where they learn the proper method of working with our special riders and horses. Volunteers are asked to sign up for a minimum of 1 ½ hours a week. They are then assigned the same rider for the length of the session.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at Reins for Life, call Chris at 574-232-0853 or click the button to the right to start the download for the registration form.
